ARSANTIQVA is an extreme metal act hailing from Brooklyn, NY. Officially formed in September of 2009 by Diktator (Guitar/Keys), Haeor (Bass/Drums), and Abraxas (Vocals). They are driven by a doctrine of post-apocalyptic dystopian philosophy, including the expression of a disintegrated civilization deconstructed to a primitive state of existence. "Scavengers" their debut album resonates their topics, themes and philosophy through their elevated musical dynamics that include, razor sharp guitars, precise percussions, slithering harsh vocals, while incorporating keyboards and cinematic choirs. "Scavengers" delivers a sharp and potent riff driven black metal that is produced well, is extremely polished, but not so much that it loses its sense of sharp and aggressive authenticity. Actually, it is quite the opposite! "Scavengers" traverses the epic and atmospheric into the grim as well as crossing into an almost black ‘n’ roll that is executed with precision, and at points coming across as a nod, with an evil grin, to SATYRICON (Deep Calleth Upon Deep or Now Diabolical). ARSANTIQVA are modern US Black Metal that is potent, well written and professionally produced.
