Hailing from the Netherlands comes CULTUS. This is not a new album but instead a re-worked apparition of the "A Seat in Valhalla" album. For those unfamiliar with the band, CULTUS delivers unto us some hateful black metal with touches of pagan influence themed melodics. Band member A. is also known from such bands as Pest (Ger), Countess (NL), Blackdeath (Rus), and Lugubre (NL) to name a few. "Gezeteld in Zegeruinen" brings forth seven glorious and wondrous tracks of black metal filled with a darkness that flourishes into melancholic beauty as well as raw power. Words cannot simply describe the album. One must submerse themselves completely to fully comprehend the value of each individual track, because each track truly has a mind of its own shining and glimmering from within the abyss void of misanthropic hate. CULTUS deliver grim perfection!
