[DARK134CD] the definitive edition of DOLMEN's classic 1994 death/thrash metal demo 'On the Eve of the War' which was actually collection of rehearsal demos from 1989. This deluxe version includes a new Stereo Mix of the release, the original Mono Mix of the release, and a collection of outtakes from 1989 for a total of 25 tracks. It is an impressive archive, a complete document of a band that is largely seen as a precursor to a fellowship that'd eventually manifest as ABSU's best known line-up. This release keys into many points of interest on my part as a legendary release of early Texas death metal, an important precursory step to one of the USBM's most important bands, and a demo that is always aflame with inspired performances.

DARK SYMPHONIES is proud to present continued cooperation with ABSU member Equitant for the first ever stand alone standard edition of DOLEMEN "On The Eve Of War", which will feature the original cover art and layout elements as the original vinyl edition, including lyrics and liner notes. The deluxe edition features the original mono recording, the stereo recording from the original 90's vinyl, the bonus 'black magic' cover-track and alternate unreleased outtakes of the original demo songs. All songs were mastered from the original analog tape and DAT sources.
