We would say one of the strongest aspects of MORDBRAND is that their music is on one hand strongly rooted in the traditional Swedish death metal, but on the other it has enough quality and originality to stand out from the rest really unmatched in the current scene. The riffs and the atmosphere are evil and dark with a very horror-esque styled sound, which is truly fantastic. MORDBRAND most definitely obtained a lot of inspiration from the old days and classic DM albums, but the music never sounds like a typical copy of GRAVE or ENTOMBED, however these bands do share some similarities. This band will appeal to those who inhale the Death Metal stench of the past of bands like SEANCE, GRAVE, ENTOMBED, HYPOCRISY...
