NIGHNACHT embodies unhinged, dark, shadow-dwelling heavy metal chaos. The Arizona based project with Don of the Dead of NUNSLAUGHTER leading the charge with his unique and deranged vocals, the band carves through the skin of the underground with a sound steeped in the grim traditions of early old school death metal. Their debut EP "Christophilia" arrived in 2019, followed swiftly by the murky and menacing "Murder Myself" in 2020.
Now the four-piece returns with "Asking To Be Killed", a third strike of pure, old-school extremity. Seven tracks in just over thirteen minutes leave no room for comfort this EP lunges forward with a harsh blend of death, black, and thrash influences, all driven by frantic riffs and wild, abrasive vocals. It's a whirlwind of raw energy, the kind that feels torn straight from the tape-trading era.
There's no preparing for the atmosphere here. The shadows stretch, the air turns cold, and the chaos closes in. NIGHNACHT delivers old school death metal meant for those who crave the sounds of the past in a band from today.
