Carrying deep scars from the obscure and truly threatening black metal scene of the early 1990s SHATTERER emerges from a time when the craft was sincere passionate burning and hungry. This was an era defined by isolation danger and absolute conviction and the spirit of that era bleeds through every second of this release. Fire was conjured by Mork an individual firmly rooted in the very soil of the old Swedish underground the same soil that shaped MALIGN WATAIN SVARTSYN and other torchbearers of the ancient flame. These recordings channel the raw pulse of that lineage with total devotion.
Fire echoes the ancient sentiments of true black metal while emanating sparks anew kindling the undying flame with an unholy intent. The riffs strike with the same primitive hunger that fueled the early 90s cult. The atmosphere is stark violent and ritualistic. Nothing modern. Nothing polished. Nothing compromised. This cassette EP stands as the debut solo endeavor of Mork a direct continuation of the ideological and sonic inferno that defined his past works yet delivered with an unmistakably rabid and unique expression.
A tribute to the old ways forged in solitude and lit by the same fire that once threatened to consume the world. SHATTERER Fire is a declaration of loyalty to the ancient black metal current and a reminder that the flame still burns for those who dare to carry it.
