Forward The Spears is a violent, atmosphere-drenched, and war-driven release — FOREST OF IMPALED prove once again why they remain one of the most underrated forces in American Black/Death Metal. Featuring members tied to Chicago’s underground elite — SARCOPHAGUS, KOMMANDANT, and U.S. Black Metal icon KRIEG — the band’s pedigree is unmistakable, and Forward the Spears reflects that lineage with sharpened musicianship and unwavering conviction.
Echoing the intensity of ANGELCORPSE, the relentless brutality of KRISIUN, the blasphemous ferocity of BELPHEGOR, the twisting gloom of IMMOLATION, the chaotic Black/Death force of VITAL REMAINS, and the raw American underground legacy of ORDER FROM CHAOS — Forward the Spears stands as a commanding pillar of U.S. extreme metal.
