The first album "Phobos Rising" from Ukraine's ORBSTRUCT erupts with brutal, pitch black old-school death metal crafted for the die-hard underground purist. This is one of those criminally overlooked Ukrainian acts that delivers pure, unfiltered darkness that is straightforward, savage, and completely devoted to the old ways. No modern gloss, no compromise, just crushing riffs and suffocating atmosphere forged in the true spirit of early death metal.
"Phobos Rising" hits with the same raw force that defined the genre's formative years. Think back to the days of GRAVE, MORBID ANGEL, MORPHEUS DESCENDS, UNLEASHED, BAPHOMET, OBITUARY, DEATH, and countless other titans who shaped the underground. ORBSTRUCT channel that same primal energy, delivering a sound that feels both familiar and fiercely alive.
If you long for the era when death metal was dark, heavy, and merciless, this album belongs in your collection. Fucking sick. Old-school maniacs?do not overlook ORBSTRUCT.
