SILBERBACH conjures a raw, ritualistic strain of German black metal on Séance Obscure — a recording steeped in occult atmosphere, primitive riffcraft, and cavern-drenched vocals that echo like a voice carried through stone corridors. The riffs move in repetitive, trance-inducing cycles, building tension through minimalism rather than technicality, while the murky analog production preserves every grain of deep underground darkness. This is black metal carved from isolation, ritual, and shadow — a stark document of SILBERBACH’s early underground presence.
The album thrives on mood: slow-burning, hostile, and uncomfortably intimate. Every track feels like a dimly lit invocation, pulling from the lineage of German raw black metal where atmosphere dominates and melody is buried beneath layers of smoke and dust. Séance Obscure is not polished, not modern, and not forgiving — it’s a relic forged in the deep underground, meant for listeners who crave the unfiltered, occult edge of the genre.
If you worship the raw German underground — the ritualistic darkness of MOONBLOOD, the cold minimalism and pagan-tinged atmosphere of BILSKIRNIR, the hypnotic repetition and shadow-drenched riffing of DARK AGES, or the early hostile rawness of KATHARSIS — then SILBERBACH’s Séance Obscure will feel like a natural extension of that lineage. This LP channels the same primitive energy, the same occult isolation, and the same dedication to atmosphere over clarity. A perfect fit for collectors who seek the deeper, darker corners of the German black metal underground.
