MORD are a black metal band with ties to some other bands within the deep underground, FUNERAL MOURNING, LEGUBRE, XASTHUR and VROLOTHE. The atmospheric qualities of MORD are much like that of XASTHUR due to Malefic being involved in the project. MORD and their "Imperium Magnum Infernalis" is a black metal record very much through and through. This along with elements that lead you to see influences in other directions as well. The music ever present influence of song writing and keyboard by Malefic creates an atmosphere which lingers over the other instruments like a cloud of thunder and lightning. Overall, this album will impress those who follow the mentioned bands as well as the black metal purists seeking some nourishment from the deep underground. Worth your time!
