ARTIST: OrthTITLE: Nocturno InfernoSTYLE: Black MetalFORMAT: 12" LP (Black Vinyl)LABEL: A Fine Day To Die RecordsLimited edition Black Vinyl of 300 hand numbered copiesThe album "Nocturno Inferno" by the obscure band ORTH, has received and is worth much praise for its authentic early wave Norwegian Black Metal sound. This album, which is quite obscure, and was almost lost in time, is worshipped by those dedicated followers of the "true" for its haunting atmosphere and grim, ice-cold riffs, reminiscent of the work of the many classic Norwegian bands these guys were also involved with. It is considered a significant piece of Black Metal history and is recommended for followers of early Norwegian Black Metal. "Nocturno Inferno" was recorded between October 1995 and February 1996 at the legendary Grieghallen Studios by Eirik "Pytten" Hundvin in Bergen, Norway, but issues with delivery of the physical album and the suicide of Erik "Grim" Brodreskift resulted in it being unreleased for over 20 years. This LP version released by A FINE DAY TO DIE RECORDS on traditional BLACK VINYL is the perfect way to experience the album. If you?re a DIE-HARD follower of the "True" old school second wave of Norwegian black metal and want to explore a "lost" cult gem of an album from the era, ORTH's "Nocturno Inferno" should be in your collection. Capturing the grim, cold spirit of 1990s Bergen, Norway and serves as a fascinating artifact of the scene.
