Cult black metal band from Finland from members of Horna, Satanic Warmaster, Warloghe, Goatmoon. Hail the Black Metal Wolves of Belial erupts with the kind of cold, predatory black metal that defined the most vicious corners of the Scandinavian underground. PEST attack with sharpened riffs that slice through the mix like cracked ice, drums that hammer forward with primitive ferocity, and vocals that snarl from the shadows like a curse spat during a midnight ritual. The production is raw to the bone—grainy, abrasive, and perfectly hostile—giving every track a jagged edge that refuses to dull. This album moves with the momentum of a winter storm: fast, relentless, and utterly merciless. There’s no atmospheric padding, no modern polish, no attempt at accessibility. Just pure nocturnal aggression steeped in occult spite and wolf-hearted devotion to the old ways. Hail the Black Metal Wolves of Belial stands as one of PEST’s most savage declarations, a reminder of when black metal was still dangerous, still underground, and still proudly venomous toward everything outside its circle.

PEST’s attack here lands somewhere between the frost-scarred aggression of CRAFT, the primitive savagery of TSJUDER, and the hateful, stripped-down violence of ARMAGEDDA. There’s a touch of GORGOROTH’s early barbarism in the riffing, and the cold, relentless pacing recalls MAYHEM’s Wolf’s Lair Abyss era—but PEST keep things even more raw, more direct, and more wolf-hearted. Worshippers of the HORNA, BEHEXEN, or the early SARGEIST school of Finnish darkness will feel right at home, yet PEST maintain their own identity: a snarling, frost-bitten purity that refuses melody, refuses softness, and refuses anything but total black metal devotion.
